How to install a watch face on your Garmin

Installing a new watch face on a Garmin smartwatch only takes a minute. Here is the simplest way.

What you need

• A Garmin watch that supports Connect IQ watch faces.
• The free Garmin Connect IQ app (or the Garmin Connect app) on your phone, with your watch paired.

Step by step

1. Open the watch face page in the Connect IQ Store, using the Get it button on any design here.
2. Tap Download (or Unlock for premium designs) and choose your watch if asked.
3. Follow the on-screen steps. For paid watch faces, a short code is shown on your watch to complete the unlock.
4. Sync your watch with the phone app and wait until the installation finishes.
5. On the watch, press and hold the watch face, scroll to the new design and tap it to apply.

Troubleshooting

• Make sure the watch is connected by Bluetooth and synced.
• Restart the Connect IQ app and sync again.
• Check on the store page that your watch model is listed as compatible.
