AMOLED
AMOLED screens are bright, colorful and have true black. Photo-style watch faces with rich colors look stunning. To save battery, many watches switch to a dimmed always-on mode, so dark backgrounds with fewer lit pixels are the most efficient.
MIP
MIP (memory-in-pixel) displays are always on, easy to read in direct sunlight and extremely power efficient. They have a more limited color range, so high-contrast designs work best.
